I worked with David for many years at the HSR both of us were bus operators. I’ve had many years having a good laugh with him. He always had time to stop and just talk. So sorry to see that he has passed away thoughts and prayers for his family. Operator Ken Goobie 👮‍♀️🚌🙏

My father, Joe Markowski (Markson), always spoke of Dave with such affection and love. Dave was always in the happiest memories from his youth. Dave turned back time and brought so much joy to my Dad when he visited him in the hospital before he passed in 2014. I can only imagine how joyful their reunion is now. Dave was surely a very special and gentle soul. The Markson family sends its heartfelt condolences and prayers to the Cianciolo family.

I’m sorry too hear that David has passed away. I’ve worked with him as a city transit bus operator at the HSR in Hamilton for many years. Always enjoyed a good laugh with him he was a loving and caring person. He will be missed by family and friends. Sad 😞

Dave was such a gentleman and so kind. His last time here at our farm, he bonded with our pony, Polo. And Polo was picky about who he liked - he knew that Dave was such a great person. That same day, Dave shared a dance with his daughter, Laura. It was beautiful. 

Dave, you will be missed but will forever be in the hearts for all who knew you.

Growing up, Dave was a dear friend to our family & especially to my brother Joe. Dave had a Big Heart & such a love for his wife, Claudia  & their children. They were the world to him. His laugh & genuine smile was so infectious to those he greeted & had conversations with. He looked forward to his work as a city bus driver, treating his passengers as friends, going to their personal destinations.
Thank you Dave for the memories & love you shared with everyone you touched. You will always be in our hearts & prayers.

Such a nice man!  When he visited us at St. Joes King Street, he always kept us entertained.  I loved to hear his bus tales, and stories about boxing.   May he rest in peace.  He is happy again to be reunited with his wife.

Our parents were very good friends years back.  Once when my mom was 8 months pregnant back in the 60's, your dad Dave, drove a city bus to our house to pick her up for a doctors appointment.  That's the kind of fun, loving and man he was.  He's now watching over you all with your mom, Claudia.  My sincere condolences.
