David Bruce Watts

October 18, 1924 - May 10, 2017. We mourn the loss of Dave, a very special person, who touched the lives of so many people. Peacefully at St. Joseph's Hospital surrounded by family on Wednesday, May 10, 2017. Loving husband for 68 years of Betty (Taggart). Devoted father of Lynne (Jim), Glen (Josette) and Kim (Nancy), loving grandfather of 8 and great-grandfather of 15. He will be deeply missed by his many nieces and nephews, sisters and brothers-in-law, a multitude of friends and assorted scallywags. Survived by his brother Jack and his sister Marion. A retiree of Westinghouse after a 43 year career, he spent his remaining 30 years volunteering in the service of others. The recipient of The Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal, The Order of Niagara, 2015 Senior Citizen Behind the Scenes award, and "The Best Dad Ever" award. Dave was a shining example of "a life well lived". Very special thanks to his team of nurses and doctors in the cardiac stepdown unit for their exceptional care and compassion.
