Passed away on November 7, 2015 at St. Peter's Hospital, in his 80th year. Husband of the late Veronica B. Allen. Son of the late Herbert A. Allen and Elsie. Loving father of David (Nicole) and their son, Noah, Brian and his children, Taylor, Madison and Darienne and Lori-Ann (Mark) Kruegel and their children, Brittany and Matthew. Brother of Margaret (the late Harry) Mudge and family, the late Herbert (Jackie) and family, Robert (Cheryl) and son Jeff, Marvin (Caroline) and family, Norman (Selena) and family and Shirley (Jim) and family. Donald was a member of The Hillcrest Lodge 594 GRC and former member of Hamilton Chapter Royal Arch #175. He was a retired Fire Chief of Stelco and a member of Stoney Creek Monumental Chords Men's Barbershop Chorus. Cremation has taken place. Family will receive friends at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Ave. E., on Friday, November 13th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 14th at 1 p.m. in the chapel. There will be a family interment at White Chapel Memorial Gardens at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Foundation or St. Peter's Hospital would be greatly appreciated.
