Peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospital on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 in his 74th year. Survived by his sister Barbara Zumwalt and by brother-in-law Bert Hoepp. He will be missed by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Predeceased by his sisters Marie Hoepp and Dorothy Russell and by brothers-in-law Garnet Russell and Bill Zumwalt. Donald was a longtime employee of the Hamilton Spectator for almost 45 years. A special thank you to the staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital for all of their care and support. Visitation will be held at the MARLATT FUNERAL HOME, 615 Main Street East, Hamilton (east of Sanford Avenue) on Sunday, September 14, 2014 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Marlatt Memorial Chapel on Monday, September 15, 2014 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
