

Murray - Donald Lloyd - Peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family and friends on October 6th 2010 at the age of 67. Beloved husband for 49 years to Frances (nee Simmons). Caring and loving father to Karen (Bill Rose) and John (Tammy). Cherished grandfather to Brandon Rose. He will be sadly missed by his brothers Bob Murray (Bev), Bill Murray (Donna). Dear brother-in-law to Jack Simmons (Mary), Sharon Bellamy (Bob) and the late Jim Simmons. Don will be sadly missed by many family and friends. Don had many accomplishments. He was a Store Manager at Speedy Muffler King, Member of the R.H.L.I. Regimental Band,Volunteer with the Stoney Creek Community Policing Centre, Past President of Hamilton East Provincial P.C. Association, Past Senior Riding President of Provincial P.C. Party of Hamilton-Wentworth. Former member and Secretary Stoney Creek Kinsmen Club, Past Member Sir John A MacDonald Society, Past Candidate Alderman City Ward 5. Past Coach of the Hamilton Lacrosse Association. A heartfelt thank you to the V.O.N., C.C.A.C, Bayshore Nursing but especially to Nula, Marla and Beth for their devotion and kindness and care. The family will receive friends at the MARKEY DERMODY FUNERAL HOME 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Friday October 8th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. and on Saturday from 10-11 a.m. at the church prior to the Mass. Requiem Mass will be celebrated by Rev. Dianne Distler at St Alban the Martyr Church (Brittania & Cope Sts.) on Saturday October 9th at 11am. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated.
