Douglas Wayne Dreher

Dear son of Madeline (Madge) and the late Joe Dreher. Beloved husband of Connie for 52 years. Proud father to James (Ellyn). Survived by siblings Debi (late Jack) and Glenn (late Nancy), sisters-in-law Debbie (John) and Pat (late Doug). Lovingly remembered by nieces Jame (Chris), Faithe (Jay), Kendra (Gerald), Kelsi (Tyler) and nephews Ryan (Lauren) and Patrick (Nicole). Much adored Great Uncle of Marcie (late), Thomas, Adelyn, Hunter, Olivia, Odin, Noah, Lauchlan and Stella. Predeceased by in-laws Tom and Amy Carr.

After a 25 year career with Otis Elevator Company, Doug became Controller of Pioneer Balloon Canada and retired in 2005 as the General Manager. During his working years he also grew his own business as a Bookkeeper/Tax Accountant and in his “retirement” became a Certified Financial Advisor with Moneysmart/IPC.

Doug and Connie’s home of 50 years was always open to family, friends and neighbours and company was forever dropping in. Doug will lovingly be remembered by family and friends as a kind, compassionate and generous man of integrity who was always there to support and help you when you needed it. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.

A visitation will be held at Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Ave E, Hamilton on Wednesday, September 25 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Juravinski Cancer Centre or a charity of your choice.
