Dylan was the cherished son of Allan and Shawna Johnson (nee Arnold), proud older brother to Madison, adored father to Kaylee, best friend to the love of his life Riley and will be missed greatly by his dogs Duke and Bentley.
Cherished grandson of Debbie and Rob Johnson, the late Jim and Joan (nee Swapp) Arnold, Rae Hillmer and the late Allan Hillmer, and a treasured member of a large family with loving aunts, uncles and cousins who will miss him dearly.
Dyl had piercing blue eyes and his laugh was one of the best sounds in the world. Riley and his daughter Kaylee were his entire world. He loved fishing, dirt biking, working on his car and fixing things, helping his dad with electrical work, his mom’s cooking and all the things she did for him, playing guitar, his dogs, family camping trips to Killbear, playing video games and spending time with his family.
While we mourn his passing, there is comfort in knowing that Dylan is now reunited with his cousin and best friend Luke, where they are once again biking, fishing, climbing trees and sharing endless adventures and laughter. We know he is skateboarding with Cody, and playing guitar with Justin. Watching over him with love are his Grandma Joan, Buddy, Papa and Layla who welcome him home with open arms.
A visitation will be held from 11:30am to 1:00pm at the Markey-Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King St E. Hamilton, on Friday, February 21, 2025. The Funeral Service will begin at 1:00pm in the chapel followed by a procession to Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 700 Chapel Hill Rd, Stoney Creek, where Dylan will be laid to rest beside Luke and Cody. The family is requesting a Casual Dress Attire, to quote Nirvana “Come as you are”.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honour Dylan’s memory may contribute to a Go-Fund-Me established to help Dyl’s family through this challenging time.
The family wishes to thank everyone for their love and support during this difficult time.
Rest in peace, Dyl
