Edward Allen Heatherington

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Edward Allen Heatherington, a deeply loved husband, father, brother, uncle and friend of many on Saturday June 6, 2026 at the age of 72.

He will forever be in the hearts of his wife and soulmate Diane whom he was married to for 48 years and his beloved daughters Donna (Carl) and Sarah. He is survived by brothers and sister Phil, Len, Lisa (Sean) and many nieces and nephews. He is pre-deceased by brother Jim (Heidi) and sisters Lois, Linda and his parents Edward and Evelyn.

Allen was born and raised in Hamilton and worked for many years as a short and long haul truck driver. In his spare time he loved tinkering with cars and his pick-up truck. He always knew where the best deal could be found on just about anything. His love of playing the guitar started at a very young age as music was always a part of family life. Allen and Diane attended numerous Bluegrass festivals over the years in their fifth wheel camper. He enjoyed a good jam session whenever and wherever he could find one and he made many friends along the way.

Per Allen’s wishes cremation has taken place. The family invites you to a Celebration of Life gathering on Friday, June 19th at Binbrook United Church at 2617 Binbrook, Ontario from 2:00 - 4:30 pm - light refreshments will be provided. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to the Canadian Cancer Society.
