Just found this. Saddened to hear of Eddie's passing. Knew him for many year while we were both at Rosedale and Thistle clubs. Eddie the P - always had a smile - good luck on your journey.

I first met Eddie during the 1969-1970 squash season, when I joined the Thistle Club. He had one of the sweetest squash racquet swings, second only to Andy Mulzer and was a great friend and club pro. Sincere condolences to Marge and family, from Peter & Lenore Loveless & 5 squash playing children.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Eddie. The memory of his easy going style, and happy go lucky nature that always made people feel comfortable in his presence,  will always remain with us. He was an icon at the Thistle Club and affected the lives of many Hamilton people for the better. Our condolences to Margie, Scott,Leslie and the rest of the family.

Two generations of the Coons Family will remember Eddie for his kind and caring self and the ultimate professionalism that he imparted on everyone who came in contact with him.  Our condolences to Marge and the Brandreth Family.

Goodbye dear friend, no future lunch I have will be nearly as good as the many we had.

Today I will be thinking of you Marge and all members of my family.  I will be sharing the loss of Ed with all and remembering the many good times with cousins when we were kids.  Because of weather conditions, I'm unable to attend the service, but will keep the memories especially close today.

Have many fond memories of the "peanut" as Eddie was affectionately called.
My sincerest condolences to Marge and family.  You are blessed with many grandchildren and a host of friends.  Although distance precludes me from attending the services, my thoughts are with you.

We are travelling so can't be with you. Remembering so many years of fun times together.

Eddie was always a gentleman with a wonderful disposition for whatever life challenges he faced.
I was honoured to have crossed his path in life through the game of squash.
He will be missed and fondly remembered.

Although I have known Mr. Brandreth since I was a child tagging along with my father William Brown at The Hamilton Thistle Club, I got to know Eddie much more personally in the last few years! Eddie would come by St. Joseph's Hospital where I work a few times a week for his dialyses treatments, I frequently would run into him as he made his way to the clinic with his coffee and doughnut, he would always sit down at the halfway bench and share many stories of him and my father playing tennis together as Juniors at Rosedale Club, many, many years ago, it was fascinating! He was very well liked by all of the staff and no matter what his health challenges were he was always upbeat, a real inspiration in life! It just won't be the same to walk through the Main Lobby and know I won't be seeing Eddie! My deepest condolences to all of the family!

Many fond memories growing up with the Brandreths, always at their house, or Scottie raiding our freezer!  So sorry to hear of Ed's passing but many many great memories to cherish. Karen & Larry Charters

Saddened to hear of the passing of my cousin, Eddie.  I remember when he visited us in Scotland after Wimbledon and the many family times that followed on our return to Canada.  A wonderfully kind man who is loved and will be missed by the extended Brandreth-Cunliffe-Bennison family.
