

Eileen Forestall passed away peacefully on July 21, 2026, just a few days after celebrating her 98th birthday. Eileen was a woman of immense warmth, devotion, and joy. To those who knew her, she was famously celebrated as the absolute best butter tart baker.
Eileen is now reunited with her beloved husband, Gerald Patrick Forestall (1996), and her cherished son, Patrick Forestall (1971). She leaves behind a legacy of love in her children, who will miss her dearly: Elizabeth (Richard Kawai), Margaret (Michael Mandula), Maureen (Ralph Ryk), and Gregory Forestall (Lisa Gibson). Sadly, missed by Glenn Kawai (Sarah) and children Ted and Cece, Adam Kawai (Nicole) and children Elliott and Tyler, Matthew Mandula (Kristine), Michael Mandula (Veronica) and child Vega, Megan Mandula (José), and Dylan Forestall (Marlee) and child Charlee, and Jerina (Gage).
She was a constant source of strength, wisdom, and gentle guidance for her entire family. Her bright, cheeky spirit, her legendary baking, and her unconditional love will be forever remembered by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.
Visitation will be held at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Avenue E. on Sunday, July 26, 2026, from 2-4 & 6-8pm. Funeral Service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church - 232 Fennell Avenue E. on Monday, July 27, 2026, at 11am. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Eileen to Margaret’s Place Hospice, whose dedicated staff and compassionate volunteers cared for mom for the last several months.
