Betty was the beloved wife of William Fudge, with whom she shared a lifetime of love, devotion, and cherished memories for almost 59 years. She was a loving and devoted mother to Elaine Fudge Cumming (Norm) and Debbie Fudge. Her family was her entire life. She was a proud grandmother to Erica, who will welcome her to heaven, Erin, Caitlyn, Lauryn (Mateo), Hunter and Justin. Betty was also a treasured great grandmother to Malaika, who brought her immense joy.
Betty will be remembered for her kindness, gentle spirit and unconditional love for her family. She has a warm heart, caring nature, and a quiet strength that touched everyone who knew her. Her greatest happiness came from spending time with those she loved and watching her family grow through the generations. Betty had a deep love of books and reading, a passion that led her to spend many years working at the Hamilton Public Library.
Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we find comfort in the many beautiful memories she leaves behind. Her love, wisdom, and compassion will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
Elizabeth “Betty” will be deeply missed, forever loved and never forgotten. May she rest in peace.
In keeping with Betty’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A visitation to celebrate her beautiful life will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2026 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Cresmount Funeral Home – Fennell Chapel.
For those who wish, memorial donations to the Hamilton Public Library would be sincerely appreciated by Betty’s family.
