

Peacefully passed away at the Juravinski Hospital on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 in her 98th year. Beloved wife of the late Len (1985). Loving mother of Karen Traynor (Bill) and Robert Salci (Jo Ann). Cherished Noni of Warren (Jill) Traynor, Kyle and Lauren Salci. Little Noni of great-grandchildren Olivia, Vivian and Sam Traynor. Dear sister of Leonora Cudini (Elmo), sister-in-law of Rose Salciccioli and Margaret Salciccioli. Predeceased by her sisters Frances, Mary, Palmira, Anne and her brother Harry.
Liz will be sadly missed by nieces, nephews, family, neighbours and friends in Canada and the United States.
Liz volunteered extensively in the community, including L'Arche, The Canadian Red Cross, The Good Shepherd, St. Anthony's Altar Society and Catholic Women's League (for over 60 years) and schools. In her early career, she worked as a buyer at Eaton's where she was one of the youngest on staff and later in life, applied her many skills at Tralco-Lingo Fun. She was always very independent, cherished her family and friends, and was an inspiration to many. She was a vibrant woman who enjoyed conversations with anyone she met.
She had a full life, was full of life and blessed with what mattered most to her – her family and friends.
Visitation at MARKEY DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Saturday from 6 pm to 8 pm and Sunday from 3 pm to 7 pm with Vigil Prayers at 6:30 pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, 165 Prospect Street North (at Barton Street) on Monday, August 22, 2016 at 10 am. Entombment Holy Souls Mausoleum, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
