Elsie Alice Brown (Switzer) February 18, 1923 - February 10, 2012, passed away peacefully at Macassa Lodge in her 89th year. Wife of the late William Brown of Hamilton, predeceased by her parents Benjamin and Anna Switzer, brother Earl Switzer, sisters Dorothy Hunter and Margaret Nelson and niece Carolyn Street. She is survived by her sister Myrtle Roane, brothers Fred, Lloyd and James Switzer as well as many nieces and nephews. She will be missed by all her family and friends. Elsie was a dedicated volunteer at the Wesley Centre and many other community organizations in the Hamilton area. She was a devoted member of St. John United Church and worked for the Federal Public Service in Hamilton and Brantford. Ann (niece) and husband Kevin wish to express their heartfelt thanks to the wonderful caring staff of the C3 East Wing of Macassa Lodge and dear friend Betty Greenfield. Arrangements have been entrusted to Cresmount Funeral Home with a service to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. John United Church of Hamilton would be appreciated by the family.
