Predeceased by her husband Steve, her parents, Steve and Vera, and her brother Tom. Emily leaves to mourn her loving sons Brian (Kim) and Tom, and her grandsons Jeremy and Christopher. She also leaves to mourn her closest friends Glenda Carter, Marlene Johns, Angie Talosi, Leona Cabaj, Sue Borsc and Svetlana and Alex Wolfstein among extended family members and friends.
Emily’s family was her world. She was never happier than when spending time with her family, whether it was at a family dinner, watching a movie, or playing board games. Her laughter during family outings was contagious. Emily was also a very talented baker, cake decorator, and crocheter. Friends and family have many keepsakes that Emily crocheted for them over the years. She was a dedicated child-care worker for over 20 years, touching the lives of many children and their families.
A special thanks to Dr. Richard Tozer and staff at Juravinski Cancer Centre, Dr. Victoria Pinto, the staff at Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice, and Emily’s PSW support workers Bella and Praise.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Cancer Assistance Program (CAPS), the Juravinski Cancer Center, or the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice.
