Beloved husband of 39 years to Lynne (Uncles). Proud father of Greg (Terri) and Tammy. Grandpa and Papa of Jesse, Summer, Shannon (A.J.), Sam, Kiersten, and Shayne.
Survived by siblings Grace, Don, Dale, Fern, Carmen (Karen), and Morris, as well as in-laws Roy, Doris (Ron), Lynda, Brenda, and Wesley (Cheryl).
He is predeceased by his brother Jerry.
He will be missed by many nieces and nephews across Ontario, Alberta, and Texas.
A visitation will take place at Markey-Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street East, Hamilton, on Monday, November 2, 2026, from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. In accordance with Emmett’s wishes, cremation will follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the West Lincoln Memorial Hospital (Hamilton Health Sciences) would be appreciated by the family.
