Peacefully, on Sunday, April 15, 2018, at the Queen’s Garden Long Term Care Residence, at the age of 88. Loving and devoted husband of 62 years to Annina Flammini(nee Rocci). Will be forever in the hearts of his daughter Pia Zaccaria and son-in-law Alfonse Zaccaria, and his grandchildren Andrea Catalano (Mike), Amanda Cuffaro (Dave), and his great-grandchildren Leonardo Cuffaro and Avery Catalano. Dear brother of the late Pasquale (Giuseppina), the late Cesare (the late Franca), the late Vincenzo (Ida), Alfredo (Algisa), and Maria Perpetuini (the late Giovanni). Dear brother-in-law of the late Franco Rocci (the late Lucia), the late Cesare Rocci (the late Enia), the late Amalia DeIuliis (the late Ermando), Giuseppe Rocci (Bettina). Ercole will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends in Canada, Italy and Belgium. Retired employee of the Hamilton General Hospital for many years. Ercole enjoyed the simple things in life, his gardening, making wine and canning season. First priority was spending quality time with his family, especially his granddaughters. He was always the life of the party and always looking for the next joke to make people laugh or put a smile on their face. He will be dearly missed by all of those who knew and loved him. The family wishes to thank the wonderful team at Queen’s Garden, especially the Dundurn staff, for the love, care and support they have given him and his family over the past 5 years. Visitation at the MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Vigil Prayers at 3 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, 165 Prospect Street North, Hamilton on Friday, April 20, 2018 at 10 a.m. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Our Lady of Victory Mausoleum.
