

It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of our father Ernesto Adraneda Sr., at the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice. Surrounded by loving family, he peacefully surrendered a life well lived on Sunday, March 8, 2015 at 4:30 p.m. Beloved spouse of Isabelita (née Naval) Adraneda and father of Erwina (Bernardino) Consunji, Ernesto (Vivian) Adraneda Jr. and Elisa (Mark) Macabuag. Proud grandfather, great-grandfather, and caring uncle. He is survived by siblings Josefina (Arthur) Cruz, Antonio (Cory) Adraneda, Mario (Flor) Adraneda and Narciso (Sionne) Adraneda Jr. He will be sadly missed by many close family and friends throughout Canada, United States, Philippines and Denmark. He was a talented and hardworking engineer of Stelco for 33 years. As a dedicated 4th degree Knight of Columbus member, he spent much of his time volunteering for the community and church. He was an active member of the PCA of Hamilton, Valley Park Tennis Club and Huntington Park Tennis Club. Special thanks to the compassionate and caring staff of the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice whose kindness will never be forgotten. Extended thanks to the wonderful care received from the empathetic staff at Juravinski Hospital. Heartfelt thanks to Dr. General and team, Dr. Vanderbeek and team, Dr. N. Sne and team, Dr. G. Jones and staff, Dr. R. Avram and team, Dr. E. McWhirter and staff and Dr. R. Anastasio and staff. Visitation will be held at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME-FENNELL CHAPEL, 322 Fennell Avenue East on Tuesday, March 10 and Wednesday, March 11 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers will be said at 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11. A funeral service to celebrate his life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 12, 2015 at St. Margaret Mary Parish, 20 Idlewood Avenue.
