She is reunited with her beloved husband Norm of 57 years (deceased, 2000). Loving mother of Doreen Samson and Norman F. Denckert and his wife Gloria. Cherished Nana of Mark Samson and Sara Fisher (Craig). Cherished Grandma “D” of Jessica Denckert, Rachel DaMota (Val), Ashley Jayne (Elizabeth) and special Great Grandma “D” to Maddison, Isabella and Keegan DaMota.
As a devoted homemaker, family meant everything to her. She was very active in the community in various functions. Longtime parishioner of the Church of the Nativity, previously known as St. Mary’s, for over 90 years. She was an avid bowler and loved her euchre games up until she was 103 years old. We will miss her quick wit and her feisty attitude. Always in our hearts. Forever in our memory.
Visitation at Markey Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street East, Hamilton, on Tuesday, September 15 at 10 a.m. until the time of the chapel service at 11 a.m., luncheon to follow. Burial to follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
