Evelyn Mary Ramsay

Born on June 4,1926 in Hamilton, she was a source of strength and kindness. Evelyn devoted her life to her family always putting others before herself. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Her warm smile and gentle spirit touched all who knew her.

She found joy in playing cards especially cribbage, and loved the challenge of 1000 piece jigsaw puzzles.

Loving mother of Bob Ramsay, June Henderson (Brian), and Karen Ramsay. Cherished Grandma to Scott, Chris (Erzsebet), Jeff (Sarah), Zachary, and Matthew. Proud Great-Grandma to Aruna, Ellis, and Emyrn. She will also be lovingly remembered by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Evelyn is reunited with her beloved husband of 60 years, William (2009). She was also predeceased by her twin brother Kenneth.

The family wish to thank the staff and volunteers at Extendicare for their compassionate care.

Relatives and friends are invited to Visitation at Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Avenue East, Hamilton on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 from 10:30 am to 12 pm. The Funeral Service will follow in the Cresmount Chapel at 12 pm. Burial at Caledonia Cemetery.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada would be appreciated by the family.
