

It is with great sadness, the family of Felina Brydges announce her sudden passing on August 6, 2024, at the age of 82. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Richard, her daughter Annette (Edward) Soldo, and her grandchildren Justin, Alyssa and Matthew, who were her pride and joy. Felina was born on May 30, 1942, in Alimodian, Philippines. She graduated as a nurse, started her career at the Mayo Clinic in St. Paul Minnesota in 1967. Emigrating to Hamilton in 1970, she continued her career as a registered nurse working at the former Henderson Hospital until retirement in 2001.
Throughout her life, Felina was actively involved in various community organizations, was an avid tennis player and enjoyed travelling throughout her life, especially on her cruises with family and friends. She was particularly passionate about her gardening and enjoyed working in her renowned flower beds. Her sewing skills were sought out by many and it brought her happiness making dresses for others.
Felina was known for her warmth, kindness, and generosity. She was a pillar of support for her family and a source of inspiration for her many friends. Her home was always open to those in need, and she had a special gift for making everyone feel welcome and loved.
Felina will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will live on through the countless lives she touched. A visitation will be held at the Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Ave. E., on Friday, August 16th at 12:00 pm followed by a Memorial Service in the funeral home chapel at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Hamilton SPCA.
