Francesco Evangelista

Beloved husband to Isabella for 63 years and loving father to Carlo and Robert Evangelista. Adored Nonno to Steven and Erica and cherished brother to Geremia (Elisa). Loving Brother-in-law to Rocco Della-Nebbia (Lina) and Ada Della-Nebbia (predeceased Ernesto). Predeceased by his parents Carmine and Carmella Evangelista. He will be deeply missed by his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends in Italy and Canada.

Francesco retired from Dofasco after 30 years of service as a brick layer. Throughout his retirement he was very proud to spend his time managing and taking care of his rental properties where he could utilize his talents of being a handy man and developed long lasting relationships with his loyal tenants. As expressions of sympathy donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke foundation in Francesco’s memory.

Visitation will be held at the MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth), on Sunday, September 9th from 2-4 and 7-9. Vigil prayers at 8pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Eugene’s Church, 232 Queenston Road on Monday, September 10, 2018 at 10 a.m. Entombment to follow at Our Lady of the Angels Mausoleum.
