Peacefully, on Saturday September 1st, at the Juravinski Hospital, Freda left us in her 87th year to be reunited with the love of her life Warren Alfred "Kirby", her beloved husband of 56 years. She is predeceased by her sisters Barbara and Mabel and by her niece Elaine. Left to honour her memory are her niece Carole Taylor (Evans) and husband Fred, nephews Brian and Keith Sivak, and Deanna Hambrook. Freda passionately devoted her entire working life to the art of cake decorating at the National System of Baking, and perfected her final tier upon retirement in 1990. Family will welcome friends to a visitation on Thursday September 6th, noon to 1:00 p.m., prior to the funeral service to be held in the chapel of the Cresmount Funeral Home (322 Fennell Avenue East) immediately following. A special note of thanks for their compassionate care is extended to the entire team at the Juravinski Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. Memorial donations to a charity of choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
