She was predeceased by her beloved sister, Myrna Twiss, and parents, Letitia and Bill Creighton. She leaves behind her soulmate Gary; their children, Allison (Jason Penders) and Warren; granddaughter, Emily; brother Doug Creighton; best friend, Adrienne Reed; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Gail loved life, and her favourite routines; breakfast with Gary, feeding “her” birds, setting up her summer patio, and outings with Allison and Warren. Born with a natural talent for design and style, she pursued beauty in everything she did: in the garden, feeding and watching birds, styling seasonal displays and her collections of vintage treasures.
Most of all, Gail adored her family. She met Gary at Hill Park Secondary School, where they became high school sweethearts. Inseparable for 60 years, their marriage served as a strong and loving foundation for their children, full of laughter, listening, loving routines, music, and special rituals. She poured her love into her children, making every event special, supporting and celebrating their talents, and creating a lifetime of memories, which she documented meticulously in beautiful scrapbooks. Every day she was filled with thoughts of Warren and Allison looking forward to their chats and updates of daily life. Gail doted on her son-in-law, who doted on her in return. Her granddaughter, who inherited her independence and strength, brought her joy. They shared a deep and special connection. Gail loved nothing more than hosting gatherings for extended family at the cottage in Wasaga Beach, her favourite place to be.
Family meant everything to Gail. She was a model of love, her greatest gift.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Firestone Institute for Respiratory Health.
