It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of George Daniel Kovich at the age of 87. He was a loving, kind and generous father to Christine and Georgia Kovich. A cherished and beloved Grandpa to Sophia, Jordan, Theodore, and Annika. He is predeceased by his wife Ann.
George was born in Schumacher, Ontario on December 11, 1935, and was the youngest child of Ivan and Julka Kovich (Kovačić). He is predeceased by his siblings Thomas, Katherine, and John. He will be greatly missed by his first cousins Mary Lucas and Bill Tuss, his sister-in-law Sylvia Kovich, son-in-law Sam Sia and many cousins, nephews and nieces.
George had a lifelong love of Big Band music and enjoyed his time watching classic movies from the Golden Age of Hollywood. He was also an avid fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs. George had an infectious smile and a warm demeanor; he will be greatly ¬¬missed.
Cremation has taken place, and his ashes will be buried with his parents and sister in Timmins, Ontario.
