Born May 19, 1936 in Foulden, Berwickshire, Scotland, died peacefully on June 7, 2011 at the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice in Hamilton. Pre-deceased by loving wife Noreen (Weyers) and sister Betty (John) Nisbet. George is survived by two sons John (Donna) and Jeff (Tanya), loving brother of Margaret (Bill) and Jennifer (Martin), loving granddad to Liam, MacKenna and Jackson, and brother in law of Karen & Wayne Smith. George started out as a farmer in Scotland and a member of the young
farmers club. He then transitioned to Canada and a job at Stelco which he held for over thirty years until his retirement. He will be dearly and sadly missed by family and friends. Visitation at Crestmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Avenue East, Hamilton, Thursday, June 9th, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral Service will be celebrated at Burkholder United Church, 465 Mohawk Road East, Hamilton on Friday, June 10th, 2011 at 10:30am. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice or Juravinski Cancer Clinic.
