Wenner, George "Fred" Lovingly surrounded by his family on September 29th, 2013 at theJuravinski Hospital in his 89th year. Beloved husband of the late Phyllis (2011). Devoted father of Patricia Berg (Al), George "Ted" (Sharon), Richard (Sharon), CherylCiere (Casey) and Gordon (Gisella). Loving grandpa of Jennifer (Bruce), Theresa (Paul), Jason (Jennifer), Michael (Veronica), Craig (Carrie), Kerri, Paul (Lindsay), Leanne, Casey John Jr., Christopher, Ana Marisa, Olivia, Nicholas, Lucasand great grandpa of Claire, McKenna, Quinlan, Ethan, Areia, Gabriella, Emily, Madelyn, Hailey, Lily, Ava and Isabelle. Predeceased by his brothers Ronald William and Donald Joseph. Fred was a proud WWII veteran, a Firestone retiree and followed by many dedicated years ofservice with the Canadian Corps ofCommissionaires as security at the Canadian Centre for Inland Waters. A special thank you to the Wellington Retirement Home, ExtendicareLTC and to the dedicated staff ofF3 at theJuravinski Hospital. His family will receive friends at theCresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Ave. E. on Tuesday from 6-9 p.m. and on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will take place on Thursday, October 3rd, 2013 at 1 p.m. in the chapel.Cremation will follow. Donations to the Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated by his family.
