Born to Zeno and Teresa (pre-deceased) with siblings Eda (Gianni) (both deceased), Cesarina (Bertino) and Luciano (Concetta), Pina spent her younger years in an idyllic rural Italian town. This simple but meaningful existence carried with Pina as she crossed an ocean to begin married life with her beloved Renato (predeceased in 2013).
Through their love and devotion, Pina and Renato raised two adoring kids, Danny (Gina) and Sandra (Scott) and the family enjoyed precious moments shared with family and friends, often surrounded by lots of delicious homemade Italian food Pina was known for.
Pina found her calling at Infant Jesus Kindergarten and Nursery where for over 40 years she cared for children as if they were her own. Lifelong friendships were formed here and Pina valued the respect and recognition from the Sisters of St John the Baptist.
Pina’s greatest joy in life was being Nonna to her grandchildren Josey (Rob), Lucy (Jordan) and great-granddaughter Amelia. Grandpups Rocket, Millie, Rue and Poncho held a special place in Pina’s heart.
The family would like to extend their profound gratitude to the Hyland Crest family for the exceptional and dignified support provided to Pina this past year.
“Una bella vita” – “A Beautiful life” are symbolic words that represent a life lived by Pina.
