Gordon John Joseph Gibson

The family of Gord Gibson announce, with profound sadness the passing of their father, grandfather and great-grandfather on his 78th birthday August 8, 2013. Gord was the son of the late Jack and Antoinette Gibson and brother of Len, Ken ( the late Sylvia) and Larry (Georgi). He was predeceased by his treasured wife Jean Gibson (nee Cameron) in 2001. Left to mourn his loss are his sons Cameron (Beverly), Grant, Darryl and two special daughters-in-law Gail and Linda. Gord was the loving and proud papa of Jeremy, Jennifer, Kyle, Amanda (Steve), Ryan, Justin, Jesse and great-papa of Madison, Devin, Kaleigh, Cole, Willow, Trent, Nicholas, Ben and Kasey. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses at St. Joseph’s Hospital for their care. Visitation at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Sunday from 6-9pm and Monday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm with Vigil Prayers on Sunday at 7:30pm. Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at 11am. Cremation to follow.
