Gordon Jackson

It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Father and Grandfather at the Juravinski Hospital on Wednesday January 7th, in his 80th year. Reunited with his beloved wife of 57 years, Lillian (2014), parents Agnes and Frederick, his siblings Frederick, Ernest, Agnes, Eric, Albert, Evelyn, Percy and Grace and many faithful pets. Loving Father of Brenda(Bob), Lori (deceased), and Jeffrey(Anita). Proud Papa to Shannon(Spencer), Jordan, Spencer, Dayanaira(Johnny), Grant(Jess), Rachel and Great Papa to Skylar. "Gordie", always a gentleman with a big smile, kind heart and booming voice, will be sadly missed by many family and friends. Gordon was a 40 year employee of the City of Hamilton and resident of the Court at Rushdale. Thanks to the Juravinski C3 Onocology unit doctors and staff for their exceptional care. Visitation at Markey-Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Sunday January 11th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Monday January 12th at 11:30 am. Interment to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Juravinski Cancer Centre would be appreciated.
