Forever and For Always “My Beautiful Sweetie Pie!”

Beloved, Cherished Wife and Sweetheart to Andrew Kozbial for forty-nine years, Grace Kozbial passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospital In Hamilton, Ontario, on April 15, 2021. Predeceased by her father, Stanisław Wojcik, her mother, Wanda Perschon, and her brother, Roman Perschon. Survived by numerous cousins and extended family.

Grace was a very talented and highly dedicated teacher and mentor for over thirty years. She always considered it a privilege to have worked in the service of children. Grace was a B.A. graduate from the Faculty of Social Sciences, at McMaster University, in Hamilton, Ontario. Grace considered herself to be a ‘lifelong learner’ and was keen to explore the banquet of opportunities and interests that life has to offer. She enjoyed ballroom dancing, musical theatre, concerts, art galleries, quilting with her best friends, reading, flowers, sunsets, and quiet moments. Whatever the occasion it was most always enjoyed together, holding hands, with her husband Andrew, ‘Sweethearts’ from the age of two.

Most heartfelt thanks and deepest gratitude to all of the extremely hard working doctors, nurses, and staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital, for giving Grace all of their loving, compassionate, comfort and care. Memories of Grace’s beautiful smile, her kind, sweet, gentle demeanour will live on through those many whose lives she touched over the years.

If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Canadian Cancer Society, or a Charity of choice.

Dear Dear Grace...

When I heard of your passing I was moved and I felt a sense of loss... I tried so many times to contact you but to no avail and now I am writing to you , as you lay with the Angels, enjoying the freedom that death brings... I remember one Summer in Montreal when you and your mom came to visit.... and we were young teenagers, I arranged a blind date for you...these guys were friends of mine from school, and they showed up in a Jeep.... they were polite and well groomed but your Mom would not allow you to go because they were wearing shorts!!! No way was she going to let you go.... we were so sad... but that was how it was those days....we did not go and found something else to do that evening.... Gracie I have included your favorite song Memories on my playlist and I listen to it everyday ... Rest In Peace Gracie you are forever cherished and loved....your cousin Danushia
