Loving husband of Cheryl for 62 years. Cherished father of Stephen and Christa Parente (Paul). Devoted Nonno of John Paul, Stephen, Milo, Iris and Gus. Predeceased by his siblings Sam (Pia), Mary D’Ambrosio (Joe), Ralph, John and Denny. He is survived by his brothers Aldo (Lidia) and Ted (Jane) and sisters-in-law Tina, Lorraine and Lise. He will be missed by his large extended family and many friends.
Guido was a skilled tradesman who worked for over 50 years as a Master plumber / pipefitter. He was an avid soccer player and fan and a passionate hunter. He took great pride in his garden and would always share the fruits of his labour with the ones he loved. We will hold him forever in our hearts.
Visitation at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Monday, June 9 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Parish, 304 Hwy 8, Hamilton on Tuesday, June 10 at 12pm. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre Foundation would be appreciated.
