Irene was a sweet lady with a sharp mind. I enjoyed our drives together to play bid euchre at the Rosedale Arena. She always had kind and encouraging words for everyone and I  will greatly  miss my lovely friend!  ❤️

I met Irene around twelve years ago at the Hamilton Fiddle Club. She was very friendly and welcoming. When I told her I would like to learn to play the fiddle, she encouraged me and generously shared her fiddle music with me. Until COVID, Irene regularly came to Waterdown on Thursday afternoons with my husband (John) and I.  Also, to the Hamilton Fiddle Club and to the Puslinch Orchestra practices. Once a month we would go to the Friday night dance in Waterdown with Irene and Bill. So many nice memories. I’m so happy that I met Irene. Her kindness and patience taught me to be a better person.

I have many fond memories of Irene , her jokes, musical talents and warm friendly nature and we had great times getting together with friends enjoying tunes. She will be deeply missed. RIP

I am so sorry to hear that Irene has passed.
Irene was a long time member of Hamilton Olde-Tyme Fiddlers Assoc., Puschlinch Fiddle Orchestra and a fiddler at Waterdown Legion on Thursday afternoons. I enjoyed her company  on many of these events and we often shared a tune. Irene had a great sense of humour and always had a new joke to tell before playing a tune. She will be missed by all.

We are saddened to learn of Irene's passing. She was a loyal friend who loved Celtic style Fiddle music. She enjoyed playing her fiddle and Harmonica.  Plus she surprised everyone with her spontaneous jokes.  To have known her was a privilege. Rest in Peace Irene, we will miss you tremendously.

Darlene and I are very sorry for aunt Irene's passing. I have many very happy memories of our families visiting back and forth between Hamilton and North Bay when we were all much younger, and us then-young ones getting up to all kinds of adventure while our mom and dad (Gene and Elayne) visited with Irene and Howard. Our thoughts are with Maureen, Leo and Darren and their families in this very difficult time.

Irene, and her husband Howard, were my wonderful God parents.  Our two families knew each other well.  One of my fondest memories of Irene was her surprising a group of us in physical rehab with an impromptu concert !  I know how much it lifted spirits in the room , including my own.  I haven't seen her in quite some time before her passing, and that's a shame.  We miss these connections most when they dissappear so suddenly.  I spent a lot of time with her family, as we lived very close to each other.  Maureen their daughter,  actually sat right beside me in Mr. Dylan 9th grade history class lol.  Irene was warm, kind, and generous.  She will be missed by many.

Irene will be missed by so many. I have such fond memories of listening to her play music, telling jokes and stories, and being the life of every party. My mom (Annie) will miss her so much as well, they were such good friends.

I’ll never forget the music.  Sitting outside, in broken old wooden chairs, bugs and all the happiness, and the music and togetherness of family when siblings got together.  Music was truly the bond that made the Quinns a unit.  The kind nature, and the blessing of music.  Will miss you aunt Irene.

So sorry to hear of Irenes passing ,I met Irene when I moved to Montreal 1960 &she was living &teaching there ,my sister Elaine was married to Howard's brother Somerled (both gone now )

When Howard & Irene were returning from their   honeymoon they stopped at our family home ìn Howe Bay for a visit.  A lovely couple.

I have only met Irene a few times about 15 years ago. What a lively and lovely personality she had. Always full of fun. If only we could keep our loved ones forever.
