Peacefully in his 93rd year, James Allan of Barras, Scotland left this world to be reunited with his loving wife Flora Rose (Garden). Jimmy is survived by his brother George, daughter Maureen, son James (Ann). Proud Grandfather of Samantha, Jake, Cassie & Bill. Great-Grandfather of Malcolm, Harper, Luna, Nova and Eric. Jimmy spent many years on the water sailing with Great Lakes Marine as a Marine Engineer. A Master Mechanic at heart always willing to turn a wrench on family and friends' cars. There was absolutely nothing Jimmy couldn't fix. Once the job complete, a celebratory beer at the kitchen table sharing many laughs and stories. Stories of Bonnie Scotland and days long past. Jimmy served in the RAF and was a long-time member of the Legion. Jimmy was often referred to as a true Gentleman and Legend who will be missed by many. A heartfelt thank you to the amazing staff at St Peter's Hospital for their exceptional care and compassion. Cremation has taken place, private family service. In lieu of flowers, raise a glass in memory and share a wee dram to an amazing man.
