Peacefully and with dignity, it is with great sadness to tell those who knew Jimmy that he has gone to rest. Loving son of the late Ellen Elizabeth and John Christie. Brother of the late Tom Christie, the late Joanne Banks (Christie), and Peter Christie, Hamilton. Uncle of Judy Bevan, Hamilton. Dear and most treasured friend of John and Helen Antikian. Long time friend of Philip and Shirleigh (deceased) May and many others who have had the pleasure of knowing Jimmy. Well respected employee of Greening Donald Wire, Hamilton for over 40 years. A kind and generous man who willingly gave to others, always putting himself last. Jimmy was one of a kind. Funny, quick witted and humble. All the meaningful qualities a human being can possess. Our lives are truly enriched for having known Jimmy. A very very special thank you to the most professional and caring nurses and doctors of St. Joseph’s Health Care ward 421, your kindness was truly appreciated. Visitation will be held at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME (322 Fennell Avenue East, Hamilton) on Tuesday, February 8th from 6 to 8 p.m..
