Jane Elizabeth Edwards

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jane Elizabeth Edwards in her 85th year. Jane passed away peacefully at St. Peter's Hospital, surrounded by her family and the compassionate care of the hospital staff.

Beloved mother of Katherine (Jerry, predeceased), Michelle (Steve), and Tom (Linda). Proud grandmother of James, Christopher, Grant, and Scott.

Jane devoted 30 years of service with the WSIB. An avid reader and true book lover. She found great joy in the beauty of nature and expressed her creativity through painting and scrapbooking, preserving precious memories for those closest to her. Above all, she treasured time spent with her family. Some of her happiest moments were spent enjoying summer days by the pool with her loved ones and their two beloved dogs. Jane will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Her love, kindness, and devotion to those she cared about will be cherished forever.

Visitation will be held at Markey-Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street East, Hamilton, on Wednesday, June 24, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the Chapel Service at 1:00 p.m. Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jane's memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada.
