Dear wife of Kenneth Thorpe, Cherished mother of Sonia Wright (Alanzo), Angela Lewis (Donovan), Ian Smith, Carol Blake (Karl) and Jacqueline Beckford (Marlon). Dearly loved sister of Ethel Plummer (Lynette) and Wilfred Mumby. Predeceased by siblings John Clarke, Gwendolyn Marshall and Claude Mumby. Adored grandmother of 16 grandchildren and great-grandmother of 10 precious great-grand babies. She will also be greatly missed by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends in Jamaica, U.S.A and Canada. Pastor Thorpe will be dearly missed by the congregation of the Apostolic Holiness Church of Jesus Christ where she served for the last 14 years. Her dedication and love for all is evident by the outpouring of love and support given to her grieving family. Pastor Thorpe will be lovingly remembered for her zest for life, cooking her famous liver, cheesecake, turkey with bacon, shrimp stirfry and pudding cake. In her spare time she enjoyed shopping, sewing and caring for her exotic plants. Pastor Thorpe had a passion for winning souls for Christ and her genuine love and patience was felt by all who came in contact with her. She claimed all young people as her grandchildren and she will be deeply missed by all. Her legacy will live on. She has toiled long and hard in the Lord's vineyard, now she is resting in the arms of her Saviour. We take comfort in knowing that " To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord" - 11 Corinthians 5:8.
