Janet Stewart Granner

Loved by her son David Rule (Linda) and cherished by her grandchildren Peter (Betty), Jim, Martin Rule, and Jennifer, Christine, Kathy (Mike), Ian John, and Vanessa (Ted). Great grandchildren, Jacob, Isabel, Madeline, Owen, David, Claire, Blake, Seth, Hannah, Rowan and Aowyn.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Fred A. Rule of 45 years and her husband of less than a year, Edward Granner. She was also predeceased by her daughter Elizabeth Rockall, son-in-law Ian Rockall, and great-granddaughter Sadie Rule.

Mom was the only child of Adam and Jessie Turnbull born in Sanquhar, Scotland and immigrated to Canada in 1925 at the age of 4. After graduating from Saltfleet Highschool, Mom took a Hairdressing Course to start her working career before she married and raised her family.

A special thank you to the caring staff at Regina Gardens SE Health and PSW’s Carolyn and Phyllis who cared for Mom in our home.

Visitation will be held at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Avenue E. Hamilton on Monday, April 6, 2026 from 10 - 11 am with a Funeral Service to follow in the chapel at 11 am.
