Peacefully, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family at home, on Sunday, October 30, 2011 at the age of 71. Cherished and much loved mother of Rick (Patty), Jim, Helen (Eric), Sue, Wes (Kim) and Earl (Pam). Dear grandma of Kevin, Herb, Rich, Jen, Tamara, Dessie, Russell, Sarah, Chris, Ryan, Billy, Sam, Cady and Candace and great-grandma of Benny, Austin, Sadie, Dylan and Scarlett. Janet will be lovingly remembered by 4 brothers and sisters and many nieces, nephews cousins and friends. She is now reunited with her dear husband Harvey, her parents Herbert and Janet and 7 brothers and sisters. The family will receive friends at the MARKEY DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Wednesday, November 2nd from 6-9 p.m. Funeral Service in the funeral home Chapel on Thursday, November 3rd at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow.
