Jaroslav "Jerry" Furda

After a lengthy battle with cancer, at the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice, surrounded by his loving family, on Friday, October 8, 2010, in his 86th year. Dearly beloved husband to Eugenija (Gina) after sixty-one and a half years of marriage. Cherished Tata to Ola Furda, Mary Sinkarcuk and her husband Joe. Beloved Gido to Steven. Lovingly remembered by his brother Mike Furda and his wife Natalie. Also remembered by his brother-in-law Toma Dimitrovski and his family. Also remembered by many other relatives, nieces, nephews and cousins. The family would like to thank Dr. Arnold and Dr. Sur at the Juravinski Hospital, Dr. Michael Schweitzer, Bayshore Nursing and C.C.A.C. A very special thank you goes out to all the palliative care nurses and volunteer staff at the Bob Kemp Hospice for their wonderful and compassionate care shown to Jerry and his entire family. The family will receive friends at the MARKEY DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King St. E. (at Kenilworth 905-547-1121) on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Panachyda service Monday at 7:30 p.m. A funeral service for Mr. Furda will take place from the funeral home chapel on Tuesday at 10 a.m. with interment at St. Volodymyr Cemetery in Oakville.
