Jean Colleen Baine
26 January, 1929 – 17 January, 2023

With sadness, the family announces the passing of Jean Baine in her 94th year.
Jean was predeceased by her loving husband Barry in 2012. Also predeceased by siblings Mary Place (Ron), Helen McKenzie (Don), Jim Twaddle and brother-in-law Dick Baine (Eva). Lovingly remembered by sister-in-law Roberta Twaddle. Jean is survived by her son, Paul Baine (Joanne) and her daughter, Sheila Flis (Gregory), and by her grandchildren Patrick, Nathan (Ana), Michael (Angela), and Colin. She was Granny Jean to great grandchildren Aidan, Jonah and Isabel, and Elora and Connor. Also lovingly remembered by many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Jean was a devoted mother and wife, taught for several years in the Stoney Creek area, and was an active member of the UCW and choir of St. Giles United. Special thanks to good friend Bruce Ritchie and other good friends who visited her often, and her friends from New Vision United. Thanks to Lakeview Retirement Home and St. Peter’s 3E, especially Amanda and Dr. Solomon for their compassionate care.
Visitation will be held at the Marlatt Funeral Home, 615 Main Street East (east of Sanford Ave.), Hamilton, on Sunday, January 22nd from 1-3pm and 6-8pm. Funeral Service will be held at Stoney Creek United Church, 1 King Street West (at Lake Ave.), Stoney Creek on Monday, January 23rd, 2023 at 11am. The service will be live streamed, please go to Marlatt Funeral Home website and click on the link under the service information on Jean's tribute page. Cremation to follow.
