Jennifer passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Sunday, April 16th, 2023 after a brief illness at the age of 68. Born to Zelda and William McIntyre on August 17, 1954. Jen grew up in Hamilton with her twin brother John. Jennifer is survived by her children Kelly (Joe) and Michael (Chantelle). Jennifer is also survived by her grandchildren whom she adored, Jacob, Emma and Joshua and her nephew and niece, Mitchell and Andrea. Jennifer also leaves behind her two broken hearted best friends, Arlene and Susan. Jennifer is pre-deceased by her beloved husband, George. Together again in eternity, they leave behind their puppies, Katie and Ellie who are affectionately known as ‘the girls’. Jennifer/Mum leaves behind many broken hearts. For many years Jen worked for as mail carrier for the postal service in the city of Hamilton. She also spent many years as a bingo caller, a darts driver and bartender at the Gladstone Tavern in it's heyday. After many surgeries on her knees, Jennifer retired and she liked to spend her free time with her family, playing bingo at the reserve and Princess Bingo or spending weekends down at the falls. This loss is immeasurable, and Jennifer will be missed forever. She leaves behind a massive hole in our hearts. A special thank you to the palliative care team at St. Joseph's Hospital that provided wonderful care for Jennifer. Keeping with Jen's wishes cremation has taken place. A funeral service will be held Saturday, April 29, 2023, at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Avenue East Hamilton, ON. Visitation will start at 12 p.m. with the service beginning at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be made on Jennifer's behalf to The Hamilton & District Extend-A-Family.
