BARR, Jessie McFadyen (nee McMurtrie) Peacefully at St. Joseph's Hospital, Hamilton, on Sunday, February 22, 2015. Jessie Barr, in her 84th year. Beloved wife of the late Henry Barr (December 18, 2002). Loving mother of Henry "Harry" Barr Jr. and his wife Tracey, and cherished grandma to Amanda and Ashley. Dear sister to Isa Henderson, and the late Davie McMurtrie, both of Scotland. She will also be deeply missed by her extended family and friends in Scotland, and her wee pal, Roscoe. Jessie had been a longtime member of the Churchill Fields Lawn Bowling Club, the Main Hess Seniors Centre, YWCA Seniors Bingo and the British Imperial Veterans Association Women's Auxiliary. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks for the wonderful care from the staff on CTU West at St Joseph's Hospital. Visitation at the MARLATT FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 615 Main Street East (east of Sanford Avenue) on Friday, February 27th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Celebration of Jessie's life will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 2 p.m. For those who wish, donations to the Alzheimer Society, the S.P.C.A., or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
