Beloved wife to the late Alan "Mitch" (2017). Loving mother to Karen (Tom), Beverly (Jean) and Phil (Linda). Dear Nanny to Kerry (Mario), Gregory (Samantha), Gabrielle (Jared) and Laura and great grandmother to Sofia and Lowell. Predeceased by loving parents Jim and Aileen Kilby. Dear sister to Jimmy (Joyce), Dede (Jim) and Michael (Sandra). She will be dearly missed by all her extended family and friends.
Joan graduated from the Mohawk College School of Nursing in 1977. Upon graduation, she worked at St. Joseph's Hospital in the Neo-Natal Intensive Care until her retirement in 1997. She was an avid reader and was known for her great sense of humour. In her retirement years, she and Mitch enjoyed traveling and spending time with their grandkids.
Due to current gathering restrictions, a private family viewing and service will take place. Guests will be invited to join the service via Live Stream. In lieu of flowers, donations to CityKidz or to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by her family.
Funeral arrangements will be announced in the coming days.
