Morris, Joan Marian Peacefully in her sleep at St. Elizabeth's Villa on March 22nd, 2013 in her 104th year. She is survived by several nieces and nephews including, Joan E., Tim (Deb Mayberry), John (Susanne), Howard (Joan P.), Ruth (Rod Chisholm) and Margaret (Noel Brien) as well as other relatives, including her great, great, great nephew. A 1920's graduate of St. Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing, Aunt Joan practised for many years as a hospital nurse in Hamilton and in New York City and as an office nurse to a local doctor. She ended her working career as secretary to a Hamilton lawyer. In her retirement, she continued to develop her love of art, taking many classes at the Dundas Valley School of Art in ceramics and other media. A special thanks to the staff at St. Elizabeth's Villa for their compassionate care over the years. Visitation will be held at the Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Ave. E. on Tuesday from 1 p.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. in the chapel. Interment will follow in Woodland Cemetery.
