Born in his beloved Benkovce, Slovakia on May 28th, 1924, passing away peacefully at St Peters Hospital on May 6th, 2016 at the age of 91. Cherished brother to Anna and her husband Michal Lukac and their children Jaro, and Luba. Loving uncle to niece Anna and Fero Marcincin and their children Zuzana, Ivana, Michaela, and niece Alica and her husband Jozef Lancos and their children Marek, Katka and Jozef. John will forever live on in the hearts of his extended family and wonderful friends in Canada and Slovakia. Visitation at the MARKEY DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Sunday May 8th, from 6-9pm, with prayers at 7pm. Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at St Cyril and Methodius Church, 204 Park St N, on Monday May 9th, 2016 at 11am. Interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery to follow.
