Predeceased by his parents Stanley and Alice Rainbow.
He will be lovingly remembered by his sister Barbara Nickafor, niece Kristen Smith (Justin), great nieces Kyra and Jaida Smith, and many cousins and friends.
John enjoyed working at Ben Veldhuis Cactus Greenhouse in Dundas, for many years. He retired from Queenston Motors Parts Department.
Over the years, John liked to play pool, making beautiful planters in front of the family house, and helping his neighbours.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will not be any public services.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Juravinski Cancer Centre or Diabetes Canada would be appreciated by the family.
