John MacLean Rush

Passed away peacefully at home on January 3, 2012 in his 73rd year. Beloved husband of Barbara (nee Williams). Loving brother of Jessica Benson (the late Joseph), Alice Melly (Patrick), Margaret Bodden (Garry), Hugh, and Lilian Buchanan (Iain) and special cousin Phyllis Rush. Pre-deceased by sisters Elizabeth Rush, Jean Pender (Jim), Maisie Matone (Victor), and Patricia Baiardo (Vincenzo). Dear brother-in-law of David Williams (June), Alan Williams (Susan) and predeceased by Peter Williams (Ruth). Uncle John will be lovingly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews throughout Canada and Scotland, especially his much loved Godson Darryl Bodden (Lori) and great-nieces Brooklyn and Emma. Thanks go out to his good friends Doug Seto and George Stewart for a lifetime of true friendship, golf and happy memories. A special thank you to all his Bayshore Home Care Nurses, especially Susannah, Clarissa and VON Nurse Terry whose expertise and tender care did so much to comfort John on his year long journey home. Following John's wishes cremation has taken place. A private family memorial service will be held at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Avenue East. In lieu of flowers and donations, please be kind to one another and to all God's creatures.
