Joseph Omer Boudreau

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family at St. Joseph's Hospital, Hamilton, on Wednesday December 15th 2021 at the age of 76. Beloved husband of Jeannine Boudreau for 53 wonderful years, 11 months and 15 days. Loving father of Jason (Tracy) and Steve (Stephanie). Cherished grandfather of Mikayla, Cole, Ethan, and Kennedy. Omer will be fondly remembered by many family and friends. Omer was born on February 28th, 1945 in Campbelton, New Brunswick to father Antoine and mother Delima, who predeceased him. He grew up in a large, loving family with 3 brothers and 5 sisters. Omer worked for Norton Abrasives for 31 years retiring at the young age of 51. Omer enjoyed hanging out in his man cave "the garage", where he spent time fixing and repairing machinery. Omer's other loves included listening to country music, driving to Tim Hortons for his morning coffee, drinking a Miller High Life, and smoking his cigarettes. Visitation at the MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Saturday, January 8th 2022 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. with a short prayer being held by Matthew Collins at 3:45 p.m. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life to take place immediately following visitation at The Columbus club of Hamilton, 222 Queenston Road, Hamilton, from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. All are welcome to attend.
