On Friday, August 17, 2012 at St. Joseph’s Hospital Joe peacefully crossed the Rainbow Bridge to be with his three little dogs, Heidi, Greta and Hans. Joe is survived by his loving wife Eileen, daughter Mary, son Randy (Marilyn) and grandson Max. He was also poppy to his little dog Lisa. Predeceased by parents Michael Bernard and Sophie Mabel and brothers and sisters, Placide, Ethel, Theresa, Alfred Xavier, James and Moses. Also survived by Tony. Joe was a proud Veteran of World War Two. The family wishes to thank Dr. Steven Wong and the fourth floor staff of the Mary Grace wing and the sixth floor Innovation Tower for their care and compassion. Many thanks to Dr. Angelo Zizzo and staff. Family will receive friends at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Ave. E., on Monday, August 20th from 6-8 p.m. with Vigil Prayers at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place at Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, 416 Mohawk Rd. E., on Tuesday, August 21st at 10 a.m. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
