Born in Perkinsfield, Ontario, on October 24, 1936. Ed spent most of his career as an auto body repairman before working 17 years as a custodian with HWCDSB. A devoted member of Sts. Peter & Paul Church, he was always willing to lend a helping hand to his family, friends, and neighbours. Ed loved working around his home and garden, being outdoors, and cheering on the Toronto Maple Leafs and Blue Jays.
Ed will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of 63 years, Emma Desroches (nee Arsenault), and his children Nancy Tower (Doug), Sandra McInally (Alistair), Derrick Desroches, Joanne Gallant (Allan), and Marsha Jamieson (Gary). He will also be lovingly remembered by his 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, extended family, and many friends. The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the caring staff at Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice for their kindness, compassion, and support during Ed’s final days.
Visitation will be held at Sts. Peter & Paul Church, 50 Brucedale Avenue, on Friday, September 25, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Resurrection Cemetery, 254 Garner Road West, Ancaster.
